Our holiday home is located in Schankweiler in the beautiful southern Eifel.
The Trier Quereinhaus dating back to 1836 has been lovingly restored according to historical models using ecological building materials such as clay, lime, hemp and solid wood.
Feel the unique atmosphere of a historic house made from natural materials.
Relax in the adjoining garden with terrace or in our Swiss stone pine sauna.
We look forward to your visit!
Explore the South Eifel Nature Park on numerous hiking and cycling trails or visit the oldest city in Germany, Trier, with its buildings dating back to Roman times. Our neighbouring country Luxembourg with its capital city is also worth a visit.
Hermen House was built in 1836. The name Hermen is the old house name. This is an Eifel tradition from the time when there were no street names and house numbers. The house was either given the name of the builder or his occupation. Over time, the name sometimes changed if another family lived in the house for a longer period of time.
In the post-war period, the house was occupied by 12 people. Bread was baked in the old oven for the residents of the whole street.
Schankweiler is located in the Enz valley, on the northern edge of the Ferschweiler plateau. The village is surrounded by nature and orchards.
Unfortunately, the holiday home is not barrier-free. A steep wooden staircase with narrow steps leads to the attic.
